Beachfront B&B in Llandudno with an honesty bar and breakfasts from local producers
Seafront Location & Access
Hen Dy is located directly across from Llandudno North Shore Beach and 100 metres from Llandudno Pier. The property offers a sun terrace and a small front garden with outdoor seating. Guests who book directly can reserve a parking space outside the hotel, solving the limited parking in the central area.
Honesty Bar & Guest Lounge
A guest lounge on the ground floor overlooks the promenade and contains the on-site honesty bar, stocked with a selection of drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. The lounge also provides board games and books for guests to use. This self-service bar is a standout amenity, noted in multiple guest reviews.
Breakfast & Dietary Options
Breakfast includes a continental buffet with fruits, cereals, yogurts, and nuts, plus a cooked menu with choices such as the full Welsh breakfast made from locally sourced bacon, sausages, and eggs. The owners accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, and lactose-free requirements. Hot breakfast is prepared fresh each morning by Ian, with a variety of options available.
Room Configurations & Amenities
Rooms include double rooms with sea views (e.g., Room 7), a ground floor suite (Room 12) with a private lounge and bay window facing the promenade, and a top-floor family suite with two adjoining bedrooms and an ensuite bathroom. Some rooms provide air conditioning (Room 12) and binoculars for sea viewing (Room 2 and others). Each room has a kettle with tea and coffee supplies, a TV, heating, and a fan; some wardrobes have a radiator for drying.
Family & Practical Amenities
Family suite configurations are available for larger parties, and the guest lounge offers board games for children. The property has CCTV coverage in common areas, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Free parking is available for guests who book directly (limited spaces), and outdoor seating is provided on the terrace and garden.
